2. Hosting and server logs
When this website is accessed, the hosting server processes technical connection data such as the IP address, access time, requested file, referrer, browser, operating system and transferred data volume. Processing is necessary to provide a secure and reliable website and is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Logs are deleted according to the hosting provider's configuration unless a security incident requires longer retention.
3. Sitemap crawls
When you start a crawl, we process the public website address you entered, publicly accessible pages, internal links, HTTP status information, canonical URLs and noindex directives. This processing is performed solely to create the requested XML sitemap and display crawl progress. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR or, where applicable, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
4. Temporary crawl and XML files
During a crawl, sitemap24 temporarily stores a random crawl ID, the queue, processed URLs, errors and the generated XML file. This enables progress reporting and downloading. Temporary crawl data and generated files are deleted regularly and are not intended for permanent archiving.
5. Cookies
sitemap24 uses technically necessary session cookies and the sitemap24_consent cookie, which records whether optional cookies were accepted or only essential cookies were selected. Essential storage is based on Section 25(2)(2) TDDDG and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Optional technologies are used only with consent under Section 25(1) TDDDG and Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.
6. Contact
If you contact us by email, we process your information to respond to your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for contractual matters and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for other enquiries.
7. External links
This website may contain links to third-party services. Their privacy policies apply only after you follow such a link. A normal outbound link does not automatically load third-party content.
8. Your rights
Subject to the applicable conditions, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection under Articles 15–21 GDPR. You may withdraw consent at any time with future effect.
9. Complaints
You may lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular the authority at your place of residence or the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
10. Updates
We update this policy when features, services or legal requirements change.
